The reel

Eleven minutes. Nobody else on stage.

One voice, one acoustic guitar, shot live. It opens with “Crazy Little Thing Called Love” and does not ask for help after that.

Kind words, unprompted

“You would have thought it was like a 10 piece band.”

Dean VagnosiFather of the bride, Outer Banks, May 2025

  • “I swear he was the talk of the wedding.”
  • “If you got an event and you want it to be lively, this guy can do it all.”
  • “Do not hesitate. This guy killed it.”
  • About 160 guests
  • Thursday, then twice on Friday
  • Hired again for an 80th birthday

The man

Tony Costello.

Singer. Guitar player. A problem for anyone who planned to leave early.

The solo show is exactly what it sounds like: one acoustic guitar, one microphone and a man who treats a Saturday dinner crowd like a sold out room. He starts as background music. He does not stay there.

When he is not doing this, he sings and plays guitar for Dr Cooper, an original synth pop band from Miami and Philadelphia, and sails with The Scott Thorson Experience, a yacht rock duo. This page is about the act that fits in one car.

The glasses are load bearing.

Tony’s own show posters. Yes, he approved the hair.

Where it works

Any room with a corner.

Restaurants and bars

The standing Saturday night is proof. Dinner keeps moving, the bar stays full, and the corner earns its keep.

Sample photo

Weddings

Cocktail hour, the welcome party, the night before. Ask Dean how that went.

Sample photo

Private parties

Birthdays, anniversaries, the backyard. He has played an 80th and held the room.

Sample photo

Wherever the car goes

He drove to the Outer Banks for a wedding week. A guitar, a microphone and a speaker travel well.

A word from our sponsor

Tidy with Tony.

Every great show has a sponsor. Ours is a cleaning product that does not exist. The jingle, unfortunately, is real, and Tony sings it.
